The Smart Healthcare Research Institute and the Digital Therapeutics Research Center (Research-Driven Hospital Unit 3) at Samsung Medical Center (SMC) are pleased to invite you to the 6th International Symposium of Smart Healthcare Research Institute.
Since 2021, SMC, in collaboration with Wonju Severance Christian Hospital (WSCH), has been advancing the “K-DEM (Digital and Electronic Medicine) Station” project to develop digital therapeutics (DTx) and electroceuticals by integrating innovative technologies, including virtual reality, AI, and wearable devices, with clinical expertise.
The first session will feature researchers from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany presenting research on digital therapeutics for mental health, alongside leading companies such as Welt, Emocog Inc., and Beyondmedicine sharing their experiences and strategies for international clinical trials and global market expansion.
The second session will highlight the latest advances in next-generation electroceuticals and their clinical potential, with presentations from SMC, the University of Ulsan, Kookmin University, and Sungkyunkwan University.
The final session will focus on regulatory strategies for global market entry, covering cybersecurity, CE MDR clinical evaluation, MDSAP, and usability engineering to support the international expansion and commercialization of innovative medical technologies.
We hope this symposium will serve as a meaningful platform connecting academia, industry, and clinical practice, fostering collaboration and accelerating the clinical translation and global commercialization of innovative digital and electronic healthcare technologies.

삼성서울병원 스마트헬스케어연구소와 디지털치료연구센터(연구중심병원 3유닛)에서 주관하는 “The 6th International Symposium of Smart Healthcare Research Institute”에 귀하를 초대합니다.
삼성서울병원은 원주세브란스기독병원과 협력하여 만성 및 난치성 질환 치료를 목표로 지난 2021년부터 “미래형 환자중심 K-DEM(Digital and Electronic Medicine) Station 구축” 사업을 추진하고 있으며, 가상현실, AI, 웨어러블 디바이스 등 혁신 기술과 의료 기술의 융합을 통해 디지털·전자 치료기기를 개발하고, 연구 성과가 실제 의료 현장에 적용되어 글로벌 시장으로 확장될 수 있도록 노력하고 있습니다.
이번 심포지엄에서는 독일 샤리테(Charité)병원, 마르부르크 필립스(Philipps) 대학교 교수진을 현장에 초청하여 정신질환 분야의 디지털 치료 연구 동향을 살펴보고, ㈜웰트, ㈜이모코그, ㈜비욘드메디슨의 해외 임상 및 글로벌 시장 진출 경험을 통해 국내 디지털 치료기기의 해외 진출 전략을 공유하고자 합니다. 또한 삼성서울병원, 울산대학교, 국민대학교, 성균관대학교 등 국내 주요 대학 및 연구기관의 최신 연구 성과를 바탕으로 차세대 전자약 기술의 발전과 임상 적용 가능성을 조망하고자 합니다.
아울러 혁신 기술의 글로벌 시장 진출에 필수적인 사이버보안, CE MDR 임상평가, MDSAP, 사용적합성평가 등 해외 규제 및 인허가 대응 전략을 다루어, 기술 개발부터 시장 진입과 사업화 확산에 이르는 실질적인 방향을 모색하고자 합니다.
이번 심포지엄이 디지털·전자 헬스케어 분야의 최신 연구 성과와 산업 현장의 경험을 공유하고, 이를 임상 적용과 사업화, 나아가 글로벌 시장 진출로 연결하는 뜻깊은 교류의 장이 되기를 기대합니다. 관련 분야 연구자 및 산업계 관계자 분들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드립니다.
